The classes will be imparted in Spanish and the materials will consist of publications in different languages, mainly Spanish and English.
This postgraduate programme makes use of blended learning, in which classroom-based techniques are combined with online distance learning.
The teaching methodology is structured as follows:
• Classroom-based sessions. Most of the course is imparted in the classroom and theoretical content will be combined with practical analysis. The theoretical sessions are held at the beginning of each subject and the practical component comprises case studies and lectures.
• Virtual Teaching Platform. Part of the contents is delivered via our virtual teaching platform with exclusive use for course participants. Distance learning guarantees permanent attention on the part of course coordinators and direct contact with participants. The platform is a complete support tool for the participants, and it also includes a forum, internal email, link section and notice board. It also facilitates the downloading of electronic documents from most of the classroom-based sessions and supplementary documentation provided by the coordination team.
• Tutorials. Ongoing tutorials through the Virtual Platform with the programme coordinators. At the same time, there will be two periods of personalised tutorials throughout the academic year: the former for academic monitoring and the latter for the masters dissertation.
• Exercises. Each module includes exercises related to course contents and studies.
• Field trips. There will be two field trips in relation to the classroom-based sessions.
• Practical training in companies. Practical training is not compulsory. However, the EUTDH will facilitate a practicum in companies or tourism consultants to those participants who apply for one.
Obviously, one of the main actives of this program is the wealth of experience provided by the participants. For this reason, the teaching staff will stimulate active participation and will encourage debate since student attitude and intervention are crucial in order to favour the exchange of opinions and contrast on pertinent issues.
