 A World in a Kitchen
A course for those who like making and tasting dishes from around the world and enjoying different experiences from other gastronomic cultures.
SYLLABUS
First Session:
Japan and Sushi.
- Oriental Cuisine, raw fish treatment.

Rice making techniques for Sushi.
Second Session:
Mexico and Chili.
- Garnish-making and Mexican starters like guacamole or ceviche.
- Preparation of beans with meat and fajitas with chicken and vegetables.
Third Session:
Italy and Pasta.
- Cooking techniques for traditional fresh pasta.

Preparation of light and refreshing lasagnes with easy-to-make sauces.
Fourth Session: Syria and Kebab.
- Preparation of dishes like humus and falafels for attractive starters/appetisers.
- Preparation of salted philo pasta.
- Cooking techniques.
Fifth Session: Argentina and Meat.
- Preparation of Argentinian pasties, churrasco and chimichurri sauce.
Sixth Session: Spain and Fish.
- Preparation of baked fish dishes with accompaniment and attractive garnish.

Days: Tuesday June 5, 12 and 19 and Wednesday June 6, 13 and 20 2007.
Timetable: from 17:30 to 20:30

- Whole course price: €95 (UAB Community); €115 (UAB External).
- Price per Session*: €20 (UAB Community); €25 (UAB External).
Place: UAB EUTDH Display room.

Not acknowledged as free choice credits.

General conditions

The registration fee is to be paid into the following bank account: 2100-0424-340200181822.

The payment must be made at least a week in advance and a copy of the receipt sent to EUTDH in order to validate the enrolment.
- In case of cancellation of enrolment more than two days prior to commencement, EUTDH will retain 25% of course fees towards administrative expenses.

In the event of cancellation once the course has started, EUTDH will retain 50% of the course fees towards administrative expenses.
